The Wendy Williams Show is coming to an end after 14 years and over 1,500 episodes, its distributor confirmed.

Per company Debmar-Mercury, the show will finish its current 14th season, meaning that it will air new episodes on Fox until the fall.

At that point, the show's slot will be taken over by Sherri, a new show led by frequent Wendy guest host Sherri Shepherd.

This show will include elements from Williams' show, including the same showrunner and the Hot Topics segment that has provided many of The Wendy Williams Show's most viral moments.

The news comes two weeks after online news site Deadline had reported that Debmar-Mercury were eying the former co-host of The View to be Williams' permanent replacement.

At the time, the outlet reported that the show was likely to be changing its name.

Why Is The Wendy Williams Show ending?

Per the statement issued by the distributors, Wendy seems to be ending because they do not envision Wendy Williams returning as host any time soon.

The 57-year-old last hosted her show in July 2021, but was forced to step back to recover
